Verb conjugation of "compensar" in Spanish

I ordered a cab at four o'clock in the morning which took me to the Central Bus Station. I was much to early because the bus would go just at seven o'clock. Anyway I was sitting there and listening to music.
I went back to the busterminal and dressed for the ride. That means I put on long pants and my hiking boots. Friends have warned me about freezing conditions during bus rides because of airconditioning.
I found a pair of Nike shoes for a bargain and I do not know until this day why those shoes were so cheap. I am sure that they are not fake, as they are great quality. My wife also bought a pair.
