Verb conjugation of "emprender" in Spanish

The bus left Havana and drove westwards towards a place called Viniales. After a short two hour ride we arrived there and once the bus entered the terminal we were greeted by dozens of people.
But we need to asked ourselves why we actually are built in such a way that we so easily dislike others and build stereotypes. What leads to such behavior even in well educated individuals?
I rarely heard someone speaking so bad about his nation, but again, it wasn't my business. We closed the lights at midnight and hoped for a few hours of sleep. The train shaked and threw us around in our beds.
