Verb conjugation of "gratulieren" in German

All people held signs with names on them and on one plate I saw name, of course misspelled. I went with the person to his oldtimer car. We drove to his cottage and I was surprised about the nice reception.
That is how he forces her into deciding between him and the baby. There is no escape from this dilema. The train that was supposed to arrive did not come yet and it does not look like it will come.
