Verb conjugation of "lay" in English

I've met the owner of Dessarmile, who has also already written you (after you came back from Thailand). However, he does not speak Spanish and therefore I do not think that they can be good friends.
In school, I had also learned Latin but it's been more than forty years ago. I grew up in Bern and I had lived there all my life, I had no opportunities to travel. It was not that easy during the war.
How long have you been practicing Spanish using this site and in which lesson are you now? I am now at vocabulary lesson number 3. It is still hard for me, but I'm quite new here and need to get better.
