Verb conjugation of "overtake" in English

My brother moved there last year. He met a woman and went after her. After six years they have broken up, but he no longer wanted to return, because he has settled down in his new home. I am visiting him once a year.
I am a computer scientist and I also have a small restaurant with my younger sister (she is also already 53). You can come and visit, I will buy you a drink and we could chat a little.
I'd be very happy if you could correct my Spanish. In return, I'll help you too, of course. 3 years ago I traveled to Chile to visit the country, only for a month, unfortunately. Loved the Cordillera!
