I come from Turkey, but I live in Germany since 1995, I was in Chile, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam and Israel ... and I love traveling. I speak English, German and Turkish (mother tongue).
I will be here for another 3 hours, then about 2 hours offline and then again online until late. So the exception is in Spain, cause formal is usually vos/ustedes even when we speak to 1 person. They also jump to the third person singular.
These may be linguistic and cultural differences. There are indeed various regions throughout Spain and the word choice is not always the same. It is sometimes hard to understand people from other cities. |
