Translation of Frenchman in German

The entrance hall where the passports were checked was renovated and had many ads for products from Western countries. Once we passed it and picked up our luggage we were looking for a ride into the city.
Tam Coc was a place where the river ran through different limestone mountains. The view was amazing. However, the two hundred other boats on the river really destroyed the atmosphere.
I think there are many similar words in English and in German like park, house, bank and many more. Many people in Germany know these words, although they do not speak English properly.
