There were a lot of souvenir shops inside the palace which spoiled the atmosphere a little bit. Monkeys were also sitting around and begging for food. We took some close-up images of them.
Anyway, the entire bus ride lasted four hours and we finally arrived at the city of Halong. We were supposed to take a two day luxury boat tour on a ship called The Lagoon Explorer.
Needless to say, Machu Picchu has earned its reputation and was definitely one of the highlights of our journey: We took the train to Aguas Calientes in the early morning. |
