 | There were no lights on the highway and hardly any cars, but quiet a few motorcycles and funnily pedestrians walking on the emergency lane. There was a tropical atmosphere in the air, I liked it. The tour started soon and we first visited the ruins nearby, which was a ten minutes drive. A tour guide introduced us to each and every pyramid and told us stories about practically every stone. It was a good way of starting the trip. A ferry ride across the beautiful water, a beer in one hand and the unknown adventure lying ahead. I had to look for a place to sleep and checked a few hostels. |
