At noon the oldest soon came home. He was a doctor and gave me some salt and other Cuban medicine. I was reluctant to swallow that stuff but the pain and the doctor's smile persuaded me in the end. It was a cozy place with a beautiful shower and hot water, a nice garden and a great patio. The price was not high for the value I received there. The room had a carpet, a wooden cupboard and TV. Some of the people had invited me for dinner and I joined them. I soon found out that they were eating at their apartment and were cooking by themselves. I found myself peeling raw potatoes.
