We bought some sandals which cost us two dollars each pair. Then we visited the surroundings of the market where many store sold paintings, sculptures and books, some very beautiful ones.
The city seemed to be small but busy and many building were new. It looked like a third world country village with four and five star hotels. The infrastructure was still bad, but one could see development.
While waiting for the counter to open, my wife developed a stomach ache. The plane took of at around 4 or 5 pm and landed around 2 hours later at the airport of Santiago de Chile. It was already dark.
