Verb conjugation of "chequear" in Spanish

I ordered a cab at four o'clock in the morning which took me to the Central Bus Station. I was much to early because the bus would go just at seven o'clock. Anyway I was sitting there and listening to music.
I do not mean to claim that they ought forget their own history, but I assert that they should forgive, not to the culprits who made the rage (that would not be possible), but the next innocent generation.
Luckily for him, his wife stood by him and explained that he was clumsy and that would happen to him all the time. Anyway, it none of our business. We all had dinner afterwards and went to sleep.
