Once the rain stopped we continued to visit some other sites within the city, among them a popular Pagoda, which was not in the center. We took a cab there and enjoyed this beautiful place of worship.
Due to jet lag (for us it was 10p.m.) we could not sleep, so we stayed at the airport until the morning where we had to take a flight around 8a.m. The destination was Siem Reap in Cambodia.
The town on the other side of the border is called Arica. You immediately see the difference to Peru. Fast food chains, brand names and modern stores appear all over the city.
