Boston is kind of huge neighborhood, generally very friendly people and you may meet many people that you already know. So it is pretty easy to get used to and if you grow up there, you don't wanna leave. If you do, you are going to miss it terribly.
In South American we speak normal Spanish, but sometimes it sounds like music and not as you are used to it from the school books and video tutorials from the language schools that you have learned in Guatemala.
I live in the center of Rome, but I prefer the outskirts. I don't love the center but the old part of the city is very charming. There are however a lot of advantages in the city, especially for young people.
