Translation of twin in Spanish

I started to speak Spanish because i had i boyfriend from Mexico. Especially I've never learned Spanish . I only listened and repeated what he spoke. Now i speak Spanish well but i need to learn grammar rules.
I am learning Spanish in university but I also have to improve it for private reasons. Do you have any suggestions. It is giving me a hard time lately as it is difficult. I need to be very patient.
I wanted to share the itinerary of our short backpacking trip in South America. My wife and I are both working, so that we did not have months to travel. Our trip started in Madrid, on September 30.
