One of the most difficult problems I have (and I am sure that others have it too) is getting used to the superficiality of the life in the US. To be superficial means to me not to be able to recognize.
The ride took us through mountainous areas, covered with dark green forest, with so many curves that I got sick. I wanted to vomit but I held myself back, as there were so many other next to me.
The travel agent's representative promised that they would return us the difference of the money. They also assured us that we would get special treatment, such as extra drinks and a Kayak expedition.
