Translation of ideology in Spanish

We bought some sandals which cost us two dollars each pair. Then we visited the surroundings of the market where many store sold paintings, sculptures and books, some very beautiful ones.
Well I take Spanish classes in college, that's the only useful language they offer, but if they had French I would be taking French. It sounds so nice. I have been lazy lately and I'm not really good at it.
The day after, we woke up late and enjoyed the nice breakfast of the Monarca Hotel. We planned the next leg of our trip at a local travel agent.
